The Peterborough GP Training Programme was one of the first schemes to be set up in the early 1970s and is now over 50 years old! It is a well-loved scheme with a strong alumni who came together to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023.

Chelmsford General Practice Specialist Training
The scheme is based at Broomfield Hospital with some GP hospital training posts based at The Linden Centre, The Crystal Centre and Chelmsford and Essex (C&E Centre).
The GP training scheme consists of three years, of which 12 months of hospital medicine and 24 months in General Practice. At Chelmsford we additionally have integrated training posts (ITP), which are attached to our ST2 year.
