Tiered Approach | East of England Creating a new NHS England
Workforce, training and education
East of England

The NHSE EoE tiers for faculty development offers career guidance and career progression for educators.

It permits the educator to ‘step on’ or ‘step off’; there is no compulsion to complete all tiers, it is up to you. You can stop, or start a different journey (leadership/QI/Simulation) when you have reached the tier that suits the level of involvement you want.

Trainees can start their journey at tier one, Consultants and GPs new to education can start at Tier 2 or those with experience who have already completed training to be a named clinical supervisor can start at Tier 3. You might find it helpful to look at what is on offer for lower tiers, and you are welcome to add to your training package.
